Knowledge Translation Projects

Our goal is to facilitate training and experience in order for students to acquire the skills they need to translate the fruits of their research to other researchers, decision-makers, health professionals, patients and the public. Students are required, under the supervision of their mentoring committee, to select a topic and an audience for an innovative KT activity. Potential target audiences could include, but are not limited to, health professionals or ministry officials.

For example, to reach health professionals, students could make presentations at medical schools or nursing schools or present to practicing members of health professions through continuing education programs. Other possibilities include writing an opinion/editorial article for a newspaper or preparing an article submission for a professional journal.
