Admission and Application Process

Eligibility: The program welcomes applications from Canadian and international applicants pursuing a full-time master’s or doctoral degree in health law and policy at one of our four affiliated academic institutions. To be considered for admission to the program, applicants must first be admitted into the Faculty of Law graduate program at one of the four affiliated academic institutions. 

Application deadline:  The fellowship application deadline is March 15, 2012.  See below links and application deadlines for each affiliated law school and graduate program:

Selection Criteria: Candidates must demonstrate an excellent academic record, an interest in multidisciplinary research, and a strong commitment to research and knowledge translation in one or more cutting-edge topics in health law, ethics and policy.

Selection Committee:  The Committee will be comprised of Professors Tim Caulfield (University of Alberta); Colleen Flood (University of Toronto); Robert Kouri (Université de Sherbrooke); William Lahey (Dalhousie), Trudo Lemmens (University of Toronto) and Constance MacIntosh (Dalhousie).

Funding*: The program provides scholarship support to graduate students. Qualified applicants will be offered stipends to support their full-time graduate studies. Applicants receiving external funding may apply for a non-funded fellowship and/or apply for a top-up.  Click here for more details regarding available funding.
